We are Strength & Honor. Our Strength is in our brotherhood and the commitment we have to one another. We are accountable to ourselves and to each other and we pledge to abide by our guiding principles of Honor, Integrity, Loyalty, and Dedication.
We are a motorcycle club. You can't buy our patch, we do not give it away, you must earn it.
SHMC does not require members to ride a specific brand of motorcycle so long as the motorcycle falls into the cruiser or touring categories with an engine displacement of 750 cubic centimeters (cc) or larger, although most of us choose to ride Harley-Davidsons.
SHMC functions, activities, and rides are open to club members, their families, and invited guests. A probate or patched member must sponsor all guests and is responsible for the conduct of the guest while riding and socializing.
SHMC honors and pledges to ALWAYS REMEMBER the ultimate sacrifice made by members of our Military, Law Enforcement, and Fire/EMS. We support the families of our fallen in their times of need as well as promoting community awareness through sponsorship and participation in various events. SHMC is a 501 (C) 4 Non-profit.
The iron cross represents the righteous ideals of the club. The crossed hammers represent the gavels of justice. The black shield serves as a reminder of the chaotic and often perilous environment of our chosen professions and the need for protection from the resident evils. The warrior wearing the horned helmet represents all those who wage war against individuals who aim to deny our constitutional rights and peace of mind. The warrior’s blue eyes represent the law enforcement origins of the club and are a constant reminder of the “thin blue line”. The warrior's name is HILDAR and is an acronym for:
Honor Integrity Loyalty Dedication Always Remember
Strength & Honor Motorcycle Club (SHMC) was founded on 12/4/2005 as a law enforcement motorcycle club (LEMC). In addition to law enforcement officers in Stafford, Virginia. SHMC members include those who honorably serve or have served in the Armed Forces of the United States, those who save lives and protect property, and all others who defend life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness as embodied in the Constitution of the United States of America.
The New Jersey Chapter was formed on October 15, 2010 in Belmar New Jersey. Its' members come from law enforcment, military firefighters and EMS. We have partiicpated in several charity fundrasiing activities and will continue that mission to help those who need it most.
SHMC was established as a fraternal organization for like minded motorcycle riders who love this nation and are committed to the guiding principles of this Club; Honor, Integrity, Loyalty, and Dedication.
SHMC is a non-territorial club, our bottom rocker merely identifies where we are from.
We are not a 1% motorcycle club.
We respect all who ride and expect the same in return.
Due to their frequent relocation, SHMC members serving in the armed forces wear the NOMADS Rocker.
Membership in SHMC is not for everyone. It requires a serious commitment to be a part of something greater than any single individual. It isn’t about donning a leather vest with a cool patch and acting the part... It’s a lifestyle, a belief system, and it’s about living it! It’s a commitment to be part of a brotherhood and to work to help others that are less fortunate by participating in various events. It’s a commitment to be there for your brothers as they will be there for you. If you are a club jumper, patch collector, or a “take my toys and go home type”, we do not want you. We want quality individuals that are willing to make a commitment and stand by it… Still interested? You might have what it takes…
Strength & Honor Motorcycle Club of New Jersey is a registered 501(c) 4 Non-profit. Our primary mission is to provide assistance to the families of fallen public safety personnel and veterans. This is accomplished via donations, scholarships, etc. Each SHMC Chapter is a separate legal entity. Make a difference today with a donation supporting our cause and help further our mission!
Our yearly poker run is dedicated to the Veteran's Section of Deborah Hospital.
